Healing benefits of celery juice
A dear friend recently invited me to explore with her the benefits of drinking celery juice first thing each day on an empty stomach.
Forever we have touted the benefits of celery; is a natural cleanser, loaded with anti-aging photo nutrients, enzymes to digest food, minerals like sodium and magnesium to build bones, electrolytes, anti-oxidizing vitamins for skin and is supposedly a negative calorie food.
Some might suggest that it helps to prevent cancer, reduces inflammation, lowers blood pressure, prevents heart disease, lowers cholesterol, regulates sugar metabolism, cleanses the liver and hydrates your skin. That is a tall order from one vegetable however I decided to juice one small bunch of organic celery every morning to see what I would notice.
I prefer to use my cold press juicer because of its ability to process greens using a slow crushing action which helps extract the maximum nutrients from the vegetables, without the damaging heat of a centrifugal juicer. Some people find plain celery juice too bitter and add an apple however I thoroughly enjoyed my unadulterated 16oz glass of juice.
After 14 days I am noticing
I feel that my digestion is optimal however I saw surprising improvements in digestion and elimination
I typically fast for 16 hours between dinner and my first meal however I noticed less hunger and a feeling of satiety until even later in the day.
I drink Matcha in the morning which has enhanced my focus and energy efficiency however I noticed enhanced stamina and a quiet calm with focus
My skin especially on my arms and legs normally feels dry until I moisturise but I noticed less need to hydrate.
In conclusion I plan to continue to drink celery juice daily for a while and encourage you to read Anthony William’s book Medical Medium “Celery Juice, the most powerful medicine of our time” to make up your own mind.
