Xylitol is the new Sugar

Xylitol is my absolute favorite sugar substitute. It’s crystalline, granular structure is so similar to sugar, just as sweet and with no unpleasant aftertaste.  It is found naturally in many fibrous fruits, vegetables, hardwoods and is mostly sourced from birch bark and corn cobs.

I love it it especially because unlike cane sugar Xylitol has been clinically proven to prevent dental cavities and gum disease and thus is a common ingredient found in chewing gum, mints, nasal sprays and hard candies.

Xylitol is safe for diabetics to consume due to its low glycemic index and it's high prebiotic nature encourages good gut health. It may be used 1:1 instead of sugar, in baking.

If you don't like the after taste of Stevia or monk fruit nor want to poison your family with artificial sugars, try Xylitol.

If you have children with a sweet tooth, or you love to sweeten your coffee but don't want the negative effects of sugar on weight gain, metabolism, glucose levels or tooth health then I suggest you invest in a large 5lb bag of healthy Xylitol and sweeten your life naturally with only wonderfully beneficial side effects.
