Miracle of refreshing your nervous system through Brain Gym

When Skye was little she attended a small private school in Santa Fe called Tara, run by two incredibly visionary women. Janet and Rosemary began every day with circle time in which parents could participate followed by a few minutes of Brain Gym to calm the nervous system of each child and prepare their brains to calmly focus on learning.

BRAIN GYM replicates the movements you learn in the first year of life to connect the right and left brain hemispheres, improving focus, concentration and learning.

Try this for yourself, especially when feeling stressed, tired or foggy.

  1. HYDRATE

    Drink water every 15 minutes.

  2. HOOK UPS

Place one hand on your belly and use the other hand to rub the K points under your collar bone.

  3. RIGHT LEFT BRAIN CONNECTION

Cross feet and hands in the same direction and interlock your fingers; hold for a few minutes, (until you yawn) uncross and place finger tips together.

  4. CROSS CRAWL

Lift right knee and touch it with the left elbow, reverse and repeat 20 times or tough the right toes with the left hand.

  5. SHOULDER ROLLS

Roll shoulder forward for 3 and backwards for 3.
