Comfort while rebounding
When I first became addicted to reformer Pilates I was a much younger single Mom working full time from home raising a small 5 year old. As you can imagine my days were long and busy but my Aeropilates routine was still a priority.
I developed what I thought was an efficient motivational strategy that insured doing my daily exercise routine: to don my exercise clothes upon rising and refrain from dressing in day clothes until after I had completed my workout and showered. It worked but it meant that I often found myself still in leggings and sweats at dinner time!!
Obviously not everyone working full time has that luxury.
When most days include important meetings, appointments, Skype sessions and school runs looking “put together” is imperative. I realized that having elegant workout clothes was an advantage however spending big money on workout gear was unrealistic. This was also pre Lululemon and Juicy Couture who made wearing athletic gear for travel and work a modern trend.
My friends surreptitiously left Athleta catalogs on my desk, dropping the hint that my workout wardrobe needed an overhaul!
Today I still understand the importance of design in choosing my leggings but find comfort to be even more of a precedent especially after developing the patented Aeropilates rebounder which if you use it daily you can quickly develop an uncomfortable rash on your spine where the seam of your pants continually rubs.
Thus I developed the Aeropilates leggings; upliftingly colorful, well designed, cute and oh so comfortable in all the right places. The wrap around seams hug your body and the wide waist band flattens your tummy and lifts your tooth.
If you jump regularly as I do, I am sure you know what I mean? No seam right where it counts, no floppy loose legs and wonderful support in all the right places.
Add your favourite T or hoodie and off you go.
